ENGAGE WEEK - 2024
The unbreaking, unrelenting, unyielding march of our common, ordinary time—in which we live from day to day, from hour to hour, from minute to minute—threatens to lull us into believing and living as if this world is all there is, that we were not made to live as citizens of a better, heavenly country. If we are not careful, we can find ourselves dragged along the currents of the contemporary, anxiously alert to the constant demands of this age while being tragically unaware of the promise and presence of the eternal. The season of Advent is meant to remind us of Heaven's glorious breaking into Earth as God became Man—the Infinite becoming an Infant—to reorient our affections and our allegiances to the King who has come and who will come again.

Bob and Pam Brownfield served with the International Mission Board for over 20 years in Malawi and Mozambique. They are currently living in Auburn, Alabama and are faithful members of Lakeview Baptist Church.
Sunday, November 3rd - 5:00pm
Sunday evening at 5:00pm, we will enjoy dinner together and hear from David and Alicia Vining.
David and Alicia Vining served for 12 years with the International Mission Board among unreached peoples in Southeast Asia. They are currently living in the Birmingham, Alabama and David is serving as Program Director of The Learning Center at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.

Mike Brooks serves as the Associate Pastor of Hope Fellowship Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is originally from Georgia and holds an M.Div. and Ph.D. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
