CHRISTMAS

Advent 2024

The unbreaking, unrelenting, unyielding march of our common, ordinary time—in which we live from day to day, from hour to hour, from minute to minute—threatens to lull us into believing and living as if this world is all there is, that we were not made to live as citizens of a better, heavenly country. If we are not careful, we can find ourselves dragged along the currents of the contemporary, anxiously alert to the constant demands of this age while being tragically unaware of the promise and presence of the eternal. The season of Advent is meant to remind us of Heaven's glorious breaking into Earth as God became Man—the Infinite becoming an Infant—to reorient our affections and our allegiances to the King who has come and who will come again.

CHristmas Eve Service

Join us this Christmas Eve "in the round" at 5:00pm as we celebrate the coming of Christ with singing, Scripture, and candlelight.

Caroling

On Wednesday, December 18th, at 6:30pm, we will meet at the Avenue (outside the Barnes & Noble) to do some caroling and then return to the church for cocoa and cookies. There will be no other regular activities that evening.

Sunday after Christmas

On Sunday, December 29th, at 10:45am, we will gather for the last time as a congregation in 2024. This is always a special time as we consider what the Lord has done in the previous year and look forward with glad anticipation to all that he will do in 2025!
