WHAT IS IT?
Him We Proclaim is a one-day preaching conference for all who preach or teach God’s Word.
Our desire is that everyone who attends will be encouraged and refreshed as they gather with others engaged in the same great labor and hear faithful, Christ-exalting preaching. We also hope that each participant leaves better equipped to carry out the high calling of preaching and teaching the Scriptures. This conference is designed to be part preaching, part theology of preaching, and part practical nuts and bolts for those who labor in the Word.
The theme of this year’s conference is Christ-Centered Exposition. In John 5, Jesus says, “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me.” Together, we’ll explore how all of Scripture truly bears witness to Christ and how to faithfully put Him on display from every text. Some sessions will focus on developing a Christ-centered hermeneutic modeled after Jesus and the apostles, while others will feature seasoned preachers showing how they proclaim Christ from particular passages.

Who Is Speaking?
For this conference, we’ve invited speakers who have thought deeply and carefully about the task of preaching Christ from all of Scripture—and who, as faithful practitioners, regularly point their congregations to Him.
Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson is Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministry at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and also serves as the primary preaching pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri. He is also the author of many books, including Gospel-Driven Ministry, The Pastor's Justification, and Friendship with the Friend of Sinners.

Mitch Chase is Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and the Preaching Pastor of Kosmosdale Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He is also the author of a number of books including Walking the Way of the Wise: A Biblical Theology of Wisdom, and The Gospel is for Christians.
